
Gloria Kapsa Doyle, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother residing in Fishers, IN, formerly of South Bend, passed away on Monday, January 2. Gloria was born Sep 18, 1930, to Anthony and Virginia (Borkowski) Kapsa. She graduated from Central Catholic High School and Siena Heights College in Adrian, Michigan.
Gloria taught Home Economics at Clay Middle School for many years, and later tutored students in reading at Eggleston, Warren and St. Adalbert schools. On July 16, 1966, she married James H. Doyle. They celebrated 50 years of marriage last summer.
She is survived by her husband, James, daughter Erin (Mark) Arenz, daughter-in-law Hope Doyle, and grandchildren Leah and William Arenz and Ayden and Lyla Doyle. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Doyle. Gloria was a member of Holy Cross and Corpus Christie parishes in South Bend, and Holy Spirit parish in Fishers.
Gloria loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook, and would often have Sunday brunch for the family. She enjoyed watching movies on Hallmark channel, reading Jane Austen novels, and knitting.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, Jan 6, 2017 with visitation at 11 am in the chapel at Holy Spirit Parish at Geist, 10350 Glaser Way, Fishers.
